Over the past several years KGA has worked together with Abertis to develop industry partnerships and demonstrate the company's world-class ability and expertise as a toll-road operator. On May 19, Governor Rendell announced that Abertis and Citi Infrastructure Investors - the Pennsylvania Transportation Partners - had submitted the preferred bid to lease the Pennsylvania Turnpike for $12.8 billion.
As the Pennsylvania General Assembly considers legislation authorizing the lease, we continue to work with Pennsylvania Transportation Partners to drive the effort to educate policy makers, the media, and Pennsylvania stakeholders on the benefits the Turnpike lease would provide to the Commonwealth.
